Ghostly Hands At Work

After the Todds left the official hearing about their son Shane's death in a huff, they told Reuters: "What has made us say that we can no longer stay here is the testimony from the beginning saying they are always only looking at suicide, never murder. The outcome was pre-determined."

Father of the deceased, Rick Todd promised, "Our next step from today is using the court of public opinion," and he is delivering the goods. The material sent to Associated Press includes some pictures not made available in the extensive coverage given by the 149th ranked local rag. Quite plausibly, they fear falling short of the regulatory framework misinformation minister Yaacob Ibrahim had in mind when he told the BBC that the Media Development Authority (MDA) regulations are crafted in "the interest of ordinary Singaporeans" to enable them to "read the right thing".

Rightly or wrongly, it looks suspiciously like the ultimate cover up. Use your own eyes, before you have to be licensed to be permitted to make your own observations.

In the light of so many discrepancies, why couldn't the jaundiced judicials have prepared to come away with an open verdict? That way, no one wins, but no one loses either. In death there's no need for a victor.
The Singapore view

The American view

Strategic hands in play?

The same can be said of the Todds. They are always only looking at murder, never suicide. Their outcome was pre-determined. Bear in mind that Mary is a pastor - suicide is taboo and means Shane will be heading straight to hell.

    1. Strange. Always thought judgment is delivered by God at the pearly gate. Never knew verdict on earth is the same as verdict by above. Wouldn't that make our court judges the infallible Gods?

    2. So Yacoob want us to look only at the RIGHT thing, which in this case, the Singapore view of the injury, rather than as very view as possible without coverup of the bruise ?

    3. Judgement should be deliveed by God. But in red dot, we already have a god aka 'The God of No Mercy'.

So, judgement is delivered by our God, right here now and instantly, and not necessarily only at the pearly gate.

  2. There are reasons why American are hated in some parts of the world and the Todds are not helping much. They might need Fox Mulder and Dana Scully to find the truth out there.

  3. Looks like a cover up. Why does the examiner's hands need to be there when the photo was taken? To cover those bruise marks? Hey and the abrasion on his neck cant be explained too. And the case of NEA denying that the letter they issue saying that hawkers erect their own scaffolding for canvas cover? Won't a ladder be enough? Obviously NEA is lying right?

    1. very ultimate.

notice how the the skin of the index finger of todd's right hand is covered and pushed side-side as far as possible
      1) to hide the bruise
      2) to mislead into thinking that there is no bruise in actual location.

What a creative pair of hand-in-glove.

  4. lots of comments in yahoo (sg) website articles on this matter suggested that the family wanted to claim life insurance policy for the death as a suicide verdict is non-claimable.

  5. Argh, the wonders of photoshop...

All I know is if it smells like a duck quacks like one, then yucko will shut down the media sites who dare claim it's a duck. What's my smoking gun you say? The sergeant did not take fingerprints because he concluded it was suicide at first sight, naturally the glamorous home team would have left out anything worth checking out which would suggest otherwise. Now a rational human would ask: if the sergeant was wrong, then there won't be any evidence suggesting foul play which the panel of "experts" could review at the inquiry, except some airbrushed photos, hmmm...

  6. Looks like two different pairs of hands. One pair much bigger and thicker. Finger nail of right thumb and the fleshy tip did not show on thicker hand. Not likely to stretch the black patch on index finger of right hand so far away.

The big black patch on left hand middle finger was absent in thicker hand. So were a couple of smaller black patches. The big black patch on back of left hand cannot be fully covered by the small thumb of glove hand.

  7. Why were the fingers of the left hand all covered up? Hiding something that should not be seen?

  8. Suicide can result in that type of bruises meh ? How come nobody raise these type of questions ?

  9. The Todds were naive from the start to believe that they will get a fair trial in Singapore on a matter that throws the integrity of the legal, investigative and enforcement entities in Singapore into question - the PAP will never allow the reputation of these to be tarnished. And given that the PAP has control over the judicial, mass media and law enforcement bodies in Singapore (and more), the Todds had the odds stacked against them since before they come into Singapore to fight this case - their case was already lost when they chose to come to Singapore to fight it.

I am not saying that the Todds had a case (i.e., their son was murdered) - what I am saying is that they were naive to think that their trial in Singapore would be a FAIR one.

    1. There is no trial. Trials are for accused people to answer to charges.

Its a coroner's hearing. The purpose is to establish CAUSE of death. That has been established. Death caused by hanging.

Did he hang himself or did unknown persons hang him is for the coroner to decide and if its decided as suicide, case closed. If not, then its murder and the case is passed over to CID.

It will take about another month for this decision to be known.

    2. The decision is already known as in all the corruption cases like Prof Tey's --

Shane Todd hanged himself - this will be the outcome, wanna bet?

    3. Despite the belief that the outcome is a given...

.. we all love a good wayang dont we?..

Feeds the presses and the online hits.. money to be made even in death.

  11. It is obvious that right from the start,156th did not want to tell that part of Truth that is not favourable to PAP,Todds might have committed suicide or been murdered, but 156th agenda is clear, chief editor should be sacked.

  12. There are people who actually think he died from kinky sex.

You see, he was so happy to have a new job, to go home for Father's Day (bought ticket), after having a nice farewell lunch, after leaving keep-in-touch notes, after packing, while doing his laundry and selling his furniture - he decided he needed some gratification.

Perhaps Shirley was on duty, and he wanted to try something new. Why not try semi-suffocation? That would be fun!

That is how many SPF sympathisers view his death - misadventure.

Err...were his pants off when Shirley discovered him?

  15. A prominent Thai forensic pathologist, Porntip Rojanasunan, "I did not advise a second autopsy. I said a second examination of a suspicious area of the body - in this case I meant the wrist - could be carried out."

    ReplyDelete
  16. The "Singapoe View" photograph was probably taken during the first autopsy, while the "American View" was taken just before burial, at the request of Shane's parents. Between the two, his body was already cut from the rope, so it was lying down and not hanging.

A layman can see the bruise mark on the left wrist, in the first photo, but the autopsy report did not mention bruise marks. To explain the dark bruise marks in the "American View", the forensic experts said it was due to lividity - blood pooling to the lowest point. But how could this be when the body was not hanging from the rope between the two photos?

The first autopsy could have established whether these marks were pre or post mortem, but presumably this was not done (because their minds were already set on a suicide?). Another slip up by our medical examiners? Our state pathologist is Dr Wu Jiahao. A foreign talent? And who were the American forensic pathologists? They were presumably paid by the government to come here to testify. So Dr Porntip Rojanasunan could be right about a suspicious area on the wrist.

  17. Ah!
The period when the State demanded that every Chinese born here adopt a han-yin pin yin name.
Family names changed from Chan to Chen.. and today we face confusion to identify a mainland Chinese from a heartlander.. identity crisis.. neither true native from China or a Singaporean of chinese descent.

Is Dr Wu Jiahao a Singaporean? I do not know.
