Horrible News

Vivian Balakrishnan once "revealed" that Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong had asked him if he would have bid for the YOG if he had known it would cost more than S$300 million. To this, Balakrishnan said that he would still do it, and had no regrets. Well, if his intent was to just put Singapore in the international spotlight, there's a cheaper way.

    1. At least, i think amos yee would have been a better budget controller than Vivian Bala could ever be. Is a shame our education system, and now political & social environment have failed to groom and allow this young mind and his spirits to flourish.

    2. You got it spot on man! As a 13-years old schoolboy, he won a certain top prize for submitting a video film based on good script, acting and lowest budget by The New Paper. He has talent!

  2. Isn't it kind of shameful for Singapore LKY to be condemned by one young Singapore citizen, so fast after all those kind of publicly orchestrated propaganda ?

As they say it, the veil has been removed to show us the full gory.

  3. The Bala incident reveals the arrogance of the man and the government, especially when they do not have to pay for their extravagance. Disdusting.

    1. His arrogance was definitely proven through what he said. Pure arrogance and yet he over spent the budget by so many times.

  6. Don't scandalize the Judiciary, God or LKY, else the law will come down hard on you.

  7. No wonder budget has to go up and up, they need to bring teenagers going through phases of growing up to court. Only in North Korea (and another northern kingdom) would the state spend resources this way.

  8. When it comes to salary levels among world leaders, there is tremendous variation across the globe.
Nobody earns as much as Singapore's prime minister, though. U.S. President Barack Obama earns $400,000 every year, quite a distance short of Lee Hsien Loong but still very high by international standards, while Angela Merkel follows with $234,400.

Russian President Vladmir Putin's annual salary amounts to $136,000.
That's still substantially more than Xi Jinping, China's leader, who earns just $22,000 every year.

  10. To understand why and how he gets his angst, you will have to get deeper into his heads. Here is not a stupid kid who just rant for no reasons. His is a very smart, original mind waiting to be accepted. This society has failed him miserably by calling on the police to castrate him, bipolar or not. Imagine, if the world turn around and decide to pick on an albino kid just for the way he looks (like some african country do today) what would LHL as a PM do?

//....Everyone in their lives is capable, and will have a fault, it happens to every individual despite how intelligent or wise they are, even me.
So if you put complete faith in a person of authority and then they advocate something wrong ,which they will, you are fucked!
Believe me I was raised in such an environment where forming unique opinions were frowned upon, even if they didn’t admit it, but the difference between you and me is that I didn’t conform to that kind of culture, I rebelled against it....//

  11. What a tribute to LKY right after all the great things said about him a week earlier. How ironic!

It lays bare to the world how backward this great city built by LKY is. Singapore is doomed.

  15. This regime's (and nation's - I must add, judging by the vitriol that Amos Yee stirred up) inability to accept criticism is its blind side.
